At the invitation of the 6th World Conference on Research Integrity (WCRI), NSFC Vice President Wang Chengwen led a delegation to visit Hong Kong from June 2th to 5th, 2019,  during which he was also invited to visit the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the City University of Hong Kong（CityU）.

VP Wang Chengwen took part in a series of meetings and activities including the Opening Ceremony, the Plenary Meeting, and the Panel Session of the WCRI. At its sidelines, he met with Prof. Mai Har Sham, Conference Co-chair and Associate Vice-President (Research) of HKU. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on a variety of issues including strengthening research integrity and improving the cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong. During the meeting, VP Wang Chengwen invited Prof. Sham to visit NSFC and give a lecture on research integrity.

The conference theme for the 6th WCRI is New Challenges for Research Integrity. More than 700 experts and scholars of over 200 organizations and institutions from 50 countries and regions or so participated in the Conference. Besides, the delegation also paid a visit to HKU and CityU, learning about recent developments of basic research and listened to suggestions on the management and funding policies of the National Science Fund.

Dr. Guo Jianquan of the NSFC Office for Research Integrity was also on the delegation.
