President Li Jinghai hosting CAPES delegation

Prof. Li Jinghai and Prof. Correia signing MoU at the Great Hall of the People

On October 24, 2019, Prof. Li Jinghai, President of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) met with visiting Prof. Anderson Ribeiro Correia, President of the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES). Prof. Li elaborated on the highlights of NSFC’s reform, before the two sides gave an overview of their international cooperative activities respectively. The two sides then had a thorough discussion on the collaborative talent program, including detailed funding format and priority areas.

Prof. Correia came to Beijing as a member of Brazilian President's state visit delegation. On the afternoon of October 25, witnessed by Chinese and Brazilian Presidents, Prof. Li and Prof. Correia officially signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Brazilian Federal Agency For Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) and the National Natural Science Foundation Of China (NSFC)" at the Great Hall of the People. They also attended the state banquet afterwards.
